I drew this for my art class. We were making patterns and got to choose whatever we wanted to go into the pattern. I chose Alice which was also the base choice. I chose Alice because I love the elegance of the Victorian era mixed with the craziness of dreams that get mixed together in the book.
I don’t usually do the line art on my drawings so having one of our tasks in the art project be the line art was a good thing. If it wasn’t a task I never would have done it.
One thing I’m not as proud of is that some of the tiles behind Alice have random lines because I wasn’t paying attention. Everything else about the drawing I enjoyed though, especially the shading. Well, not really doing the shading but I like how it turned out.
In the end I’m glad this was what I had to do for my art class because it actually got me to sit down and think about what I had to draw.
This is a drawing of another zentangle but in a deck of cards style. I really thought that the second zentangle looked really good, so I wanted to make an even better one for the last zentangle drawing.
For this picture, I used a pencil to make the cards and patterns. Then first went over that with an ultra-fine point Sharpie, then with a fine-point Sharpie, to fill in some of the white spots.
I really like how this one turned out. I think this is my favorite one out of all three zentangles I made. I really like how different this one looks from the others. The patterns just look cool inside of the cards. My favorite pattern is the ten of diamond card. The one that I don’t like is the X shape pattern with the dots in it, on the ace card.
For my next drawing, I will make something else, but I don’t know what I will make yet, but I think it will probably be something that will include color.
This is another picture of a zentangle but in a triangle shape. I liked how the other turned out, so I wanted to make another one. Zentangles are just a cool and simple thing to make. You can make any design, and it will look cool.
In this drawing, I first used a pencil to make all the patterns and shapes. Then I went over that with an ultra-fine point Sharpie. I then filled in some of the white spots with a fine-point Sharpie.
I really like how I filled in more of the white spots compared to my first zentangle. It makes the zentangle look a lot better and cooler. In this drawing, I like all the patterns I made; they all looked cool to me.
For my next picture, I don’t know what I will draw, but I will draw something.
This is a picture of a zentangle I drew. I made this drawing because when I first saw it, I thought it was cool, so decided to draw a zentangle. Also, a zentangle is an easy thing to make and is supposed to be a relaxing and a fun thing to do. All you have to do is make different shapes and patterns to make a zentangle.
For this drawing, I used a pencil to make all the different patterns, then I went over the pencil with a Sharpie. After I went over with a Sharpie, I colored in some of the white in the patterns to give it a different look.
In this picture, I really like how the different patterns look. The pattern that I like the most is the lines with the shaded background by the triangle one (by the lower right corner). I also like a lot of the others too, but there are one or two I don’t like (like the half triangle pattern near the upper right corner).
For my next drawing, I might make another zentangle but different, or I might make something else.
This is a drawing of a cap, also known as a baseball cap. I made this cap because lots of people in the world wear caps. All types of people wear caps, not just baseball players or baseball fans.
For this drawing, I used a pencil, then I went over it with a Sharpie. After that, I used markers to color the cap in. In this picture, I drew the front and back of the cap. I also put the Highland Park logo and name on it. Also, I put the ‘MN’ for Minnesota and St. Paul on it.
I really like how the drawing turned out. I like the logo of Highland Park on it and the names. I like the red on the cap a lot because it is bright, and the gray on it gives it a different look. I also like how I drew a front and back to show both sides of the hat.
For my next picture, I don’t know what I will be making, but it might be a hat or something about sports or something different.
This is a drawing of a football. I made the football because lots of people like football and I like sports; I am even on the football team. Football is one of the most famous sports in America.
In this drawing, I used a pencil, then went over with a Sharpie. After that I used markers to color the football in. I put an American flag on the football to tell you that it is American football and not soccer. I also wrote football on it just for fun.
I like how cool the picture turned out because of the American flag on it. The flag makes the football look different. But I don’t like how the stars look because of how close they are together.
For my next drawing, I will draw a cap or something else.
This is a drawing of an Adidas shoe, also called a Superstar. I drew this shoe because Adidas is the second most popular shoe brand in the world (after Nike). There are a lot of people that wear Adidas shoes in the world, including me.
For this drawing, I used a pencil, then went over the pencil with a Sharpie. After, I used markers to color it in. I also put cross-line designs on the shoe to give it a different look.
I like this shoe a lot because of how it turned out with the cross lines and the two colors on it. This shoe really looks different from the normal ones you can buy from the store.
For my next drawing, I don’t know what I want to draw, but I will draw something.
This is a picture of a Nike shoe also called a Jordan. I drew the shoe because we wear shoes every day and thought of drawing it. Nike is also the most popular shoe in the world.
For this drawing, I used pencil then went over it with Sharpie. I then used regular markers to color it in.
Something I like about it is the green on the shoe; the green is a nice bright color. I also like how basic the shoe looks with the color.
Also, something that I think I could fix is the shoelaces. They don’t really look good; there is a gap in the laces, and some are thicker than others.
But I really like how it turned out at the end.
For my next drawing, I might draw another shoe or something else.
I drew this image because it’s two things I love drawing: People and Fashion. For this drawing I chose to do a special perspective to test my limits; the fisheye lens perspective. The combination of things I love to draw and the new perspective made the drawing extremely interesting and fun to draw.
I usually draw people standing straight up and down, and don’t usually color them. I am proud of how I did the perspective, and I’m also proud of the coloration of the hair.
One thing I’m not as proud of is that one side of the face looks squashed, but it’s in the fisheye lens perspective so we’ll just blame it on that. I’m also not as proud of how I blended the colors, I feel as though I could’ve done better and got the colors to look smooth.
In all, I enjoyed the creation of this piece especially because it got me out of my artist block and got me to draw again.
This drawing is of a bear combined with a moose head. I made the drawing because I wanted to try to draw something new.
I like how the image turned out, because I did not think the two animals would look good together. I really like how the body and head look with the brown. Also, I like how the teeth look. I think the teeth look very good with the red on the inside.
But one thing that needs to be fixed are the claws. The claws do not look good. The claws need to be the same shape and sharper. Also, I think the ears need to be fixed because they do not look like ears.
I think this is one of the best drawings I have made this year.
